Good Morning!

Hi there, this is Phil Tanny from TannyTalk.com writing to bring you a quick update.

First, thanks for subscribing to TannyTalk, as your interest goes a long way towards helping me stay motivated in building the blog. Much appreciated.

I've been adding a LOT of content to the blog over the last month. I haven't been sending out notifications with each new page because I don't want to bury you in way too many emails.

NATURE: The nature section of TannyTalk has grown considerably in recent weeks and there's tons more coming. Right now the focus is on nature photos and videos we've taken in our trips around north Florida. What a beautiful state!

POLITICS: I'm experimenting with a new politics section, which um, credibly claims to be the most ridiculously stupid political commentary found anywhere on Substack. It's creative, or it's crap, or maybe both, you decide.

You might also be interested in nuclear weapons conversations I've been having with well known scientist Lawrence Krauss on his substack. Perhaps you'd like to join in the conversation? Krauss is a good guy, and he’s been pretty patient with my incessantly inconvenient questions. Maybe you can help us take that conversation in new directions.

Critical Mass
A Statement from Scientists on the Use and Threats of Use of Nuclear Weapons
I am a signatory to this statement, coordinated by the Physicists Coalition for Nuclear Threat Reduction and released on January 17, 2023. Read the press release here. The Emergency Committee of Atomic Scientists, which Einstein chaired in 1946, referred to in the text, evolved into the Board of Sponsors of The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, which…

Krauss was previously a leader of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, so he is no stranger to the subject of nuclear weapons.

Well, that's it for today.

Coming Soon: Regular once a week mailings with links to new content on TannyTalk.

Have a good one!

Phil
