Finding The Park In Palatka
This Mapquest map gives you a good map of the roads in Palatka leading up to the park. If you zoom out the map once you get a better big picture view showing the park's relationship to SR 20 and SR 100/17, two of the main roads running through Palatka.
Whether you are on SR 20, or on SR 100, in either case you can turn on Moseley Avenue and head south to Twigg Street. You'll turn left (east) on Twigg Street and the park entrance is a block ahead.
As always the state does a good job of providing signage to the parks and you should be able to follow the signs into Ravine Gardens State Park from any direction.
By the way, as you can see from the maps, the St. Johns River runs through the middle of Palatka.
If you're looking for a change of pace when you're done with the ravine you might investigate the public parks that can be found downtown along the west bank of the river. If you are coming from the park, and heading to the river, turn right just before you go over the bridge and you'll find picnic areas along the river, a boat ramp, etc.
